Working with other musicians is very important to Elfair, she loves being surrounded by friends and colleagues who inspire her.

CLOUDS members met in orchestra together when the RNCM was scheduled to perform Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz (Elfair’s favourite orchestral work). They would meet up every Monday to rehearse the orchestral part and had an amazing time together. After the orchestral concert, the Monday rehearsals were still scheduled, but for all new original music that led to CLOUDS!

Helen Wilson and Elfair also worked together at the RNCM, and enjoyed performing together which led to their flute and harp duo.

When Elfair’s younger sister Rhiain Awel, was also accepted to study Music and Harp Performance at the RNCM – it made perfect to sense to explore the harp ensemble repertoire together!
